A couple of times last week Susan made the comment that "perhaps we haven't won the lotto yet is because the Goddess knew that we were fixated on living on 700 W 7th in Spokane." I dismissed that notion, but early this morning I thought there was great truth in it. I admitted that to Susan when I drank coffee whilst waking up. She also exclaimed to me that--after we win!--instead of taking the lump sum, we take yearly payments. She figures, and I agree, that we are going to live a long time. We don't want to buy a condo, but rent, move around and travel.She figures that we should set aside $5,000 for an investment portfolio. I definitely agree to that as well.

We went to the first concert of the 2016-17 season of the Spokane Symphony. It was absolutely wonder. And after the intermission there was a tribute to a patron of the Musical Arts, Dr. Elizabeth Welty, a noted Spokane arts lover and patron, who died recently at the age of 101. The Spokane Choral sang a selection from Verdi's Il Trovatore, which was fabulous. It was our first exposure to Opera, of which I want to hear more, opera, that is.

Great disappointment--we didn't win the Lotto last night.
Had a wonderful tea at Brambleberry Cottage & Tea Shoppe yesterday: me, Susan and Mother.

Susan - Six of Wands: Many 6s indicate adjustments in thoughts, attitudes or conditions. They also represent the ability to transcend difficulties. This is exactly what Susan has done recently at work.
Daniel - Page of Cups: Impressionable, sensitive, emotional, warm, loving, romantic, talkative (well not much, but I was talking a lot this morning).

We bought new Tarot desks on Sunday, September 11th (sad day), and drew our first Card-of-the-Day on Monday, the 12th. Susan's was the King of Wands; mine was the 7 of Swords. Then on the 13th, today, Susan drew TEMPERANCE. She wrote: The significance of this card being picked today cannot be overstated! My weight was up this morning--higher than it has been for months. I knew I had to do something to reign in my impulses. So, when I picked this card, it was like I knew I had a bond with my deck! It's like the spirit force is using the deck to let me know that it is going to help me! Word for the day that came to me...SUPERNATURAL! That is to be my mantra for the day! To help me to look for the supernatural behind everything!
